What's included in the daily rate?

The day rate covers 24 hours of car use, up to 300 km of driving, comprehensive insurance, and 24/7 roadside assistance. It does not cover fuel, tolls, or driver charges (you drive yourself — that's the point of self-drive).

What's the extra-km charge if I go over 300 km/day?

Accepted Answer

Between ₹7 and ₹17 per km depending on the car — the rate is shown on each car's detail page under Pricing. We meter the odometer at handover and return, and add the overage to the final bill.

Question 3

Do I need to pay a security deposit?

Accepted Answer

Yes — typically between ₹5,000 and ₹10,000 depending on the car. The per-car amount is shown on each car's detail page under Pricing. It's fully refundable, and we hand it back to you on the spot at drop-off after a quick walkaround — no waiting period, no "refund within X days". That's one of the upsides of being a local family-run shop.

Which payment methods do you accept?

Accepted Answer

Cash, UPI, debit cards, credit cards, and bank transfer. We don't add a surcharge on cards. The security deposit is most-commonly paid by UPI or cash because that's the fastest to refund.

Question 5

Are there any hidden charges?

Accepted Answer

No. The total at the end equals: (day rate × days) + (extra km × overage) + delivery fee if applicable + any traffic fines that hit your booking. Fuel is on you — but we don't markup fuel or charge a fuel-handling fee.

Do you offer discounts for long bookings?

Yes — WhatsApp us with your dates and the car you want, and we'll quote a custom rate. Longer trips and quieter weeks get better numbers.

Where can I pick up the car?

Free pickup at Jodhpur Airport (JDH), Jodhpur Railway Station, or our Sardarpura HQ — all 24/7. Home delivery anywhere in Jodhpur city for ₹500 (free on bookings above ₹5,000).

Do you handle Jodhpur Airport (JDH) pickup and drop?

Accepted Answer

Yes — pickup and drop at Jodhpur Airport (JDH, also called Jodhpur Civil Airport) are both free and available 24/7, no matter what time your flight lands or leaves. Share your flight number when you enquire and we'll meet you at the arrivals exit with the keys ready. For the return, we accept the car at the departures forecourt; you walk straight in. Most airport handovers take under 5 minutes.

How early should I book?

We're an instant-service local provider — most in-city bookings can be handed over within the hour, and airport / station handovers run 24/7. For peak weekends (October–March) and for the Thar / Scorpio, message us 1–2 days ahead because those get reserved first.

Question 10

Can you deliver to my hotel?

Accepted Answer

Yes — anywhere within Jodhpur city for a flat ₹500. We'll meet you at the hotel reception, do the handover paperwork there, and demo the car before you set off. Free if your booking total is over ₹5,000.

What time can I pick up / drop off?

Accepted Answer

Anytime. We run 24/7 — airport, station, HQ, or hotel delivery. Tell us when and where, we'll be there.

Question 12

Can I pick up in Jodhpur and drop in another city?

Accepted Answer

Not as standard. We can arrange one-way drops to a few Rajasthan cities (Udaipur, Jaisalmer) on request for an additional fee — message us with your route and we'll quote.

Question 13

What documents do I need to rent?

Accepted Answer

A valid Indian driving licence (issued more than 1 year ago), Aadhar card or passport for ID, and a card / UPI for the security deposit. We photograph each at handover and return them at drop-off.

Can a foreign tourist rent a car?

Accepted Answer

Yes — with an International Driving Permit (IDP) plus your home-country licence (both originals). Passport for ID. We do this regularly; it's standard.

What's the minimum age?

21 years. The driving licence must be at least 1 year old at the time of booking.

Can someone other than me drive the car?

Accepted Answer

Yes — additional drivers are free, but every driver must show their licence at handover. We won't add a driver after the car has left the lot.

Do you need a copy of my licence in advance?

Accepted Answer

Not strictly required for booking, but it speeds up handover. Drop a photo of your licence and ID on WhatsApp when you book and the paperwork takes 5 minutes at handover instead of 15.

Is insurance included?

Accepted Answer

Yes — comprehensive insurance is included on every booking. It kicks in for serious damage (above ₹1,00,000). Smaller incidents — scratches, small dents, cracked panels — are settled directly using the fixed rates published on our Terms page (door scratch ₹1,000, bumper ₹8,000, side mirror ₹5,000, etc.). Keeps things simple — no insurer paperwork for minor stuff.

What does the insurance NOT cover?

Tyre damage from rough terrain, damage from drink/drug-influenced driving, off-road use beyond what the car is designed for, and incidents involving unlicensed drivers or passengers exceeding legal capacity. All of these — and any damage under ₹1,00,000 — are paid by the renter.

What happens if I get a scratch or dent?

We photograph the car at handover so there's no ambiguity about what's new. Minor scratches under ₹1,000 we usually waive. Bigger damage is invoiced at fixed transparent rates — listed on our Terms page (e.g. door scratch ₹1,000, bumper ₹8,000, side mirror ₹5,000).

What if I have a major accident?

Call us immediately — we'll guide you through the police FIR + insurance claim. Insurance handles the repair; you're liable only for the excess. Don't move or repair the car yourself before talking to us — that voids the cover.

Are tyre punctures my responsibility?

Accepted Answer

Yes — a flat or puncture from regular driving is on you (typically ₹200–₹500 at any tyre shop). Tyre wall damage from sharp rocks or off-road use is your responsibility too. The spare wheel is in the car at handover; we'll talk you through changing it if you've never done it.

Can I take the car outside Rajasthan?

Accepted Answer

Yes — inter-state trips are allowed by default. Tell us your destination at booking so we can issue the inter-state permit (no extra charge). Common routes: Gujarat, MP, Delhi-NCR, Punjab, Haryana.

Question 24

Are tolls included?

Accepted Answer

No — you pay tolls. Most cars have a working FASTag at handover; we top it up if needed and net out the toll usage from your security deposit at return. If you'd rather pay cash at toll plazas, that's also fine.

Question 25

What if the car breaks down on the highway?

Accepted Answer

Call us. Within Jodhpur we send a mechanic in under an hour. Outside Jodhpur we coordinate with the nearest service partner — typically a 2–4 hour wait depending on location. If the car can't be quickly fixed, we arrange a replacement (subject to availability) or refund the unused days plus your inconvenience.

Can I take the Thar off-road?

On graded tracks, sand approach roads, and forest routes — yes. On actual high dunes, technical rock crawling, or anywhere your insurance company would flinch — no. The 4×4 Thar is genuinely capable; the limit is judgment about where the line is.

How many km can I drive per day on an outstation trip?

Accepted Answer

The 300 km/day allowance is averaged across the trip. So a 4-day rental gives you 1,200 km total, not 300 each day. We meter the odometer at start and end. Easy to forget — but worth knowing if your route is asymmetric (e.g. all the distance on day 2).

What if I'm running late on the return?

Accepted Answer

WhatsApp us as soon as you know — that's the most important step. If the next renter isn't waiting, we'll usually flex the time at no charge. If we can't, the late charge is ₹300/hour plus the per-hour rental rate (₹250/hour on premium cars). The exact rate is on each car's detail page under Pricing.

Can I extend the booking mid-trip?

Accepted Answer

Yes — message us at least 4 hours before your end time. If the car is available for the extension, we add it on at the same daily rate and adjust the total at return. If it's already reserved for someone else, we may have to ask you to return on time.

Question 30

Do I need to return the car clean?

Accepted Answer

Reasonably clean — washed sand off your shoes before getting in, no food spills baked into the seats, no sticker residue on glass. We don't charge for normal road grime. Major mess (mud through the cabin, food spills, smoke smell) is ₹500–₹1,500.

Fuel level at return?

Accepted Answer

Same level as when you took it. Easiest way: fill it up at the nearest pump before drop-off. If you return on empty, we'll fill it on your behalf and just add the pump cost to your bill — no markup, no handling fee.

Is there a charge for returning early?

Accepted Answer

No charge — but the day rate is non-refundable for the unused days. Effectively the booking total stays the same if you return on day 2 of a 4-day booking.
